Eminent choreographer, Seke Chimutengwende, will lead a 2-hour workshop whilst his new show 'IT BEGINS IN DARKNESS' runs from 27- 30 Sep.
In this workshop Seke will lead participants through some of processes and material from his recent choreographic work It begins in darkness. Looking at ghosts and haunted houses as metaphors for how histories of slavery and colonialism haunt the present, participants will embody states of fear and menace and channel the liminal spaces between the living and the dead, the human and the nonhuman, the real and the imagined.
The workshop will create a supportive and non-competitive space to critically consider these themes through movement, voice and discussion.
